THE DEMAND FOR A BETTER BROADCAST OF TELEVISION SHOWS WAS STARTING TO RISE MAINLY BECAUSE THE BAIRD TELEVISOR TELEVISION SETS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM THAT BECAME THE FIRST MASS PRODUCED TV IN THE WORLD IN 1937 SELLING OVER 1000 TV SETS IN IT’S FIRST YEAR. IT WASN’T UNTIL 1938 WHEN RCA INTRODUCED THEIR TV AT THE WORLDS FAIR IN NEW YORK THAT FEATURED A THE FIRST PRESIDENT TO EVER SPEAK ON TELEVISION FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT. LATER THAT YEAR RCA BEGAN SELLING THEIR TELEVISION SETS THAT WERE A 5 X 12 INCH PICTURE TUBE. RCA WAS ALSO THE FIRST TO DEVELOP THE REMOTE CONTROL.
